Technique - Dress Up Your Chipboard

Who doesn't love to play dress ups ?
Whether it be for a fancy dress party, a special occasion or just the kids playing around in the backyard...
It's usually a lot of fun !
Well, how about dressing up your chipboard ?
Using the gorgeous 2Crafty Elise's Dress Forms, here's some ideas on how:

Using the solid dress form, trace the shape onto some plain cardstock. Cut this out, and ink in the colour of your choice. I have used Stazon Jet Black. Put this aside.

Ink the stand of the solid dress form, in the colour of your choice. I have used Ranger Distress Ink in Vintage Photo. Adhere some pattern paper to the torso. Cut and sand as required.

Add some fabric to make a "skirt and belt", some lace for the skirt ruffle, and some ribbon for good measure. Again, use whatever you have on hand - scraps are great !

Finish off with a ribbon collar, embellished with a brad. I have used a diamonte brad, but you can use any type of brads, buttons, gems, or pearls. Different combinations of fabric, pattern paper and accents will mean no two dress forms will ever look the same !

Using the dainty dress form, paint, spray or ink in the colour of your choice. I have used Tattered Angels Glimmer Glam in Be Positive (Deep Red), and, adhere the inked solid dress form you created earlier.

Finish off with a bow around the waist. I have used Heidi Swapp Tulle, but you can use anything - twine, ribbon, organza, lace or fabric. And there you have 2 gorgeous "dressed up" pieces of 2Crafty chipboard !

Here's a card I have made using the completed dainty Elise's Dress Form. I am saving the other for another time. If you've made it this far...... Happy Scrapping and Have a great LONG WEEKEND !!!
