"Rad"
By Charmane Sharp
PLUS A STEP X STEP TUTORIAL

Hi 2Crafty fans, Charmane with you today
to share my latest masculine layout.
I have a STEP X STEP tutorial for you to follow
with some fantastic effects on the chipboard.

2Crafty Chipboard used...

RAD - title
Tribal Arrows Lge
Tribal Ornate Border
Aztec Feathers
Mini Checkerboard bits

Step 1. I used a piece of 12x12 chipboard as my base.
Then I tore a piece of printed paper in two and
two strips of a second piece as per photo.

Step 2. I adhered the paper slotting the darker piece underneath
without securing the edges. This allowed for me to tuck the string
under the edge after cutting three pieces and tying a knot.
Don't stick the long piece down yet.

Step 3. Using a stamp coated in Versamark ink,
stamp randomly on the page and down right side.
Sprinkle one main colour with a little of two others
and then heat with a heat gun. the string can now be glued down.

Step 4. Finnabair Metallique paints were sponged on to the
chipboard pieces. Some as one single colour and then others had
dabs of another colour or two for beautiful metallic blend. Then I
applied a little Copper wax to create highlights.

Step 5. A little Lindy's spray was randomly applied to
the background. I cut co-ordinating papers to create a layered
background under my photo and raised some of them with photo tape.

Step 6. Add the lovely chipboard pieces to your layout as per the photo.
I also wrapped a little string on the arrow for added effect.

Step 7. The title was given a very RAD effect by applying
a coat of Gesso and drying with a heat gun. Then spraying the title
with a mist of water and running scissors around the edges to
distress them. Dry again with the heat gun and apply Lindy's spray
in a couple of layers dry in between. Also spray some muslin to use
on the layout to match.

Step 8. Attach any embellishments you wish to use along with
the muslin.

I hope you enjoyed the tutorial and it has inspired you to create
with 2Crafty chipboard today.

Until next time...
