April Inspiration with Lisa Amiet

Hello!!

It seems like ages since I've been here :)

Today I have two projects to share with you.
The first is a layout featuring my favourite two boys!

"The Greatest Love"

I have gone for a bit of a steampunk look with this layout.

I have used some of the 'Gears', 'Steampunk Gears Medium' and
'Steampunk Gears Small', that I have finished in old silver wax.

I have then layered some of these and fixed them with metal brads.

I have also used the 'Retro Panel', that I have cut into pieces to use across my page.

I have painted them with black gesso and then used turquoise
satin and vintage silk waxes to highlight areas of it.

It resembles pipe works for my layout.

I have also used some fine leather twine to use as the pulley system hooking up to my gears.

I quite like the effect I have achieved  :)

For my next project I have created a wall plaque....

It all started when I was at the local flea markets and I found this old door plate and handle.
You should have seen me when I found it, I was so excited, I had to have it.
Straight away I had a project in mind for it and I'm so happy to say that it actually
came out like I imagined in my head! That doesn't always happen lol.

So here it is....

For this project I have used the 'Flower Medallions',

I have layered these under a border from the 'Lacy Border Set 1',
that I have used against the side of the door plate.

I have also used pieces of the 'Ella's Border'

I have finished all of these with rust and patina pastes.

Lots of close ups :)

I have also used a few of the 'Mini Flourish Bits' near my flower clusters.

I really love how the pastes have made the chipboard look.

I hope you have liked what I have created and that I have inspired you to create!!

I will be back next month with some more to share with you,
but in the meantime, there is lots more inspiration to come from the rest of the team :)
