Steampunk Birdhouse and Garden Tag
with Trudi Harrison

"Steampunk Bird House"
Hi Everyone,
It's Trudi back with you today sharing some more more 2Crafty Chipboard inspiration.  I really enjoyed creating this little bird house with a steampunk influence. A die cut birdhouse was constructed, and a stand created with a drinking straw (reinforced with a bamboo skewer inside) and the bottom of  small (cheap) world globe.
Again, I have incorporated some of my favourite 2Crafty pieces!

Decorative borders from the Lacey Border Set 1 was trimmed and affixed across the front gables.  Black ink was lightly dabbed over the chipboard surface - patches of bare chipboard show through to add a little softness.

Fanciful Butterflies embellish the roof and stand.  Again inked lightly with black, the larger one also spritzed with teal color shine.
A Steampunk Gear adds decoration to the front of a fussy cut paper cog.

The negative of the Window Frame trimmed and reinforces the die cut window shutters.

A small Chained Circle Frame embellishes the bottom of the stand. A negative from 6"Circle Revolution Frames creates the chipboard base for the birdhouse to sit on.
A cog from the Cog Border also affixed to the underside.

I have also created a tag with a garden theme :

"Sweet"
I trimmed a piece from the Brick Panel and added this along the side of matchbox.  The toning was kept soft with Distress Oxide Ink and water.

Pieces from the Weeping Vine were tucked in around the floral cluster.

An Arrow Word adds a 'sweet' sentiment.
