Steampunk Inspiration with Trudi Harrison

"Brave"
Being Normal Is Boring

Hello Everyone!
I have been having lots of fun altering a world globe I picked up from a
discount store with 2Crafty loveliness and steampunk themed patterned papers.

The globe/ball element was first covered with two different papers.  Strips were added one at a time, slightly overlapping as I worked my way around. The globe element also forms the dress element of the image sitting on the top of the globe.

A Circle Revolution Frame was adhered around the middle of the globe (on a slight angle).  The top of the globe embellished with Fay's Flourish, Funky Heart Swirl and assortment of medium and small Steampunk Gears and fussy cut elements.

A Doily Frame embellishes the outer edge of the stand.

.
Some more Steampunk Gears were used to embellish around the globe,
along with some metal elements.

Continuing on with the steampunk theme, I have also altered a Typo packaging box.

"Take Flight"

A trimmed section from a Cog Border and medium and small Steampunk Gears were
layered with a few fussy cut elements inside the box.  I also added a Fanciful Butterfly
which I first inked with black pigment ink and then spritzed with Antique Gold and Teal.
The cogs and gears were altered similarly.

Trimmed sections from a Chain Length were added to the top and front of the box.
These were inked black and lightly dabbed with gold metallic paint.

Another Fanciful Butterfly was adhered to the top.  The wing tips were slightly curved upwards.
