June Inspiration With Kripa Koushik

Hello friends,

This month I have made scrapbook layouts in two completely different styles.

'Moments'

The first layout I want to share is a shabby chic style layout. I have tons of photos of my
first born and he ends up being the subject of most of my layouts. This picture was
taken in our backyard one spring morning, so I decided to replicate the feeling and
colours from that day by incorporating lots of fussy cut flowers.

Circle Lace Panel was cut up and tucked under the pink patter paper. It was first covered
with white gesso and then with white acrylic paint and a tiny bit of pink twinkling H2O.
3 pieces from the Leafy silhouettes set were tucked in between layers of fussy cut
flowers and pattern paper arranged to mimic the pointed end of the handrawn heart.

The Frame handdrawn heart like the other pieces on this layout was first coated
with white gesso and then white acrylic paint.

'Explore'

Here is my second layout. 2crafty has a huge variety of designs to suit any scrapbooking style.
This photograph was taken on a walking tour of Melbourne City. The Square Collage Panel chipboard reminds me of the alleyways and tram route map.

All pieces of chipboard were first coated with white gesso, dried and then coloured with
ink pads. The Mini Travel Wordset1 and stars from the Love you to the moon set
have been embossed with pearl embossing powder after colouring with ink pads.

The Square collage panel has been inserted in between the layers to help add dimension
and show the layers better.  I love the glossy sheen the embossed chippies have
against the rough matt finish of the un-embossed square collage panel.
