A Glimpse of My Mom

Hello.
Jennifer Snyder here today to share some of the pieces I created through the month.
I have a layout and two cards.  I'll start with the layout first.

BUT before I start...

I used some fabulous 2Crafty chipboard pieces to accent this layout.  As shown below, I used a title piece, "A Glimpse of You", "Chicken Wire Panel" and the "ATC Folk Hearts".
I had some meaningful reasons for the chipboard pieces I selected. The vintage photo is of my mom as a little girl with her Aunt Julia.  The photos were taken on Aunt Julia's farm where it was fun for the little kids to feed the chickens - thus the "chicken wire panel".  The title, "A Glimpse of You", is appropriate for any for any vintage photo .  It's a moment in time in my mom's life that is fascinating to see.  The "ATC Folk Hearts", well they speak for themselves.  I also have such fond memories of this farm and our Sunday visits to see Aunt Julie and the rest of the family.

The layout was created using products from the Flying Unicorns main kit for February - such a perfect combo in my opinion.

So how did I finish my chipboard pieces? I inked them with distress inks, topped them with crackle medium, then sprinkled them with micro beads while the clear crackle medium was wet.

Here is a close up of the "Glimpse of You".  I did not add micro beads to this.
But I did coat in crackle medium.

The paper used is also a great fit for the crackled finish on the chipboard.

Now time for the cards.  I also made the cards using elements from the Flying Unicorn Feb kit.
I think the natural chipboard pieces really make such a graceful statement on the cards.
The first card uses the elegant "Rose Vine Heart" chipboard piece.
The delicate scroll work is just exquisite.

This is the second card.  I used the "Flower Spurt Chain" piece for this as a border.  Once again a very delicate chipboard piece that has a giant impact on the card.
