Last Bit of Inspiration from Nicole Doiron

2 years have just flown by (time flies when you're having fun!),
and now this is my last post as a DT member for 2Crafty Chipboard!

After being part of this wonderful Team for 2 years, it's now time for me to step back
and give my spot to some other lucky lady who I'm sure will have as much fun as I have,
designing with some of the best chipboard products out there!
I will be forever grateful to Vanessa, 2Crafty owner, for this creative opportunity!

As they say, all good things must end.

And this is how I decided to end it... :)

Happiness Is This

This layout was inspired by the Prima June Build-A-Page Sketch challenge.

What I've loved most about designing for 2Crafty these past 2 years
is the large selection of beautiful chipboard titles.  For this layout, I picked
the "Happiness is this" mini title which I painted in pearly paint followed
with dabs of distressed stains and then I cut in two in order to align
the word happiness around the "6inch Clock Face Frame".

Following the circle themed sketch, I used 2 of the "6 inch Revolution Circle Frames"
as well as some of the "Circle Stack" set.  Each piece I painted with white paint,
then pearly champagne-colored acrylic paint.  I cut a "Decorative Rod Set 1" piece in two
and added a piece on either side of my layout.  They were painted the same as the circles,
but with an added faint touch of reddish pink.

Here you can see some of the many Prima blooms I added to my layout
under which I tucked a piece of "Circle Lace Panel".

You can see here some more of the "Circle Lace Panel" as well as the word 'happy'
from the "Word Circles Set 1" continuing on with the circle design theme.

And a last close-up...

My 2nd share is as shabby chic as my 1st!

Together

Starting with a beautiful Bo Bunny background patterned paper
adorned with fancy flourishes stenciled on the edges,
I was then inspired by the doily design on the paper
so I added many doily/lace type chipboard pieces from 2Crafty.

First of all, let's take a look at the title "Together Is My Favorite Place To Be",
which I divided into a few pieces in order to best line in up on my page.
It was painted with white gesso, and then dabbed with 2 different blue distress stains
and then white washed with pearly white paint.

I bordered the title with the pretty "Stitched Lace Border", simply painted white
because I absolutely wanted the details of the lacy design to stand out.

You see here the most beautiful chipboard hearts ever,
called "Lace Heart Frames".  You get 2 of them in a pack.

Among my flower clusters, I added these cute tiny hearts
from the "ATC Tiny Hearts & Stars" set, painted white.

Needless to say, this is my current favorite picture of me and my love.

Next up is a mixed media project created last month
as my DT reveal for Scrap Around the World's Epic Event.

Flowery Layered Canvas

It was obviously inspired by the May mood board from SATW which you can see below:

This project consist of a 4x6 inches canvas layered over a 10x8 inches canvas.
After creating a textured background with molding paste stenciled in and misted
in an ombre effect, I added some cut out pieces of the "Bubble Grid Panel".
I then gathered up many blue, purple and pink flowers and buttons
from my stash and layered them diagonally across both canvases
and on top of the chipboard panel pieces.

I knew from the start that I would be using the beautiful "Ornate Butterfly"
on my canvas.  I decided to just paint it white, along with the "Celebrate Today" title,
which I cut in 2, because I wanted both pieces to pop out against the colored backdrop.

You can see here the layering of the two canvases.
Of course, I dabbed a lot of white paint over all my project to soften it up!

I think this has turned out to be my favorite mixed media project
created so far this year, thanks to the premium chipboard from 2Crafty!

Well, this is it!  Time for goodbyes!
I hope that I was able to inspire you during my stay here at 2Crafty,
and that you will have learned a thing or two on the multitude of ways
to use laser-cut chipboard on your projects and make them stand out.

Thank you again to Vanessa for her generosity and her belief in me,
to Di for her patience and all her dedication as Team Coordinator,
and to all my beautiful fellow DT members, among whom I've found
some everlasting friendships and unforgettable inspiration!
