Fiona's May Shares

Hello everyone!
Welcome to May. Fiona here with you today.
I love May in Australia. To me May is all about soup and scones, late
Autumn mornings and Mothers Day. One of my favourite months of the year.

My first piece is an unusual one for me. Wait for it ........

It's a CARD!!! I know right??? Weird but you know, with Mothers Day and all,
it's nice to give a hand made card so ........ I flapped my hands a little and cursed the
tinniness of it all, gritted my teeth and went for it. This is what I got!

"Day Dream"

"Leafy Rounds"
"Sharon's Butterflies"
"Polaroid Frames"
"Anthea's Butterflies"

The centre piece of the card are the two layered butterflies. One from
"Anthea's Butterflies" and a smaller one from "Sharon's Butterflies"

I decided to use complete artistic freedom with this! I splattered acrylic paint,
sprayed sprays and added glitter and beads to all the chippy pieces.
You can see the "Polaroid Frame" just poking out of the top and
 bottom of the centre feature.

I made sure I covered the whole thing with glitter before the mediums I used had dried.
This ensured that the wings of the larger "Anthea's Butterfly" got some nice sprinklings.

The "Leafy round" sits perfectly in the background behind the butterfly combo
topped off with a little one of "Sharon's Butterflies".

My second piece is my favourite.

"Wings"

"Heart Silhouettes"
"Dreamcatchers"
Marianne's Butterflies"

The "Marianne Butterflies" are an absolute favourite of mine. They are just the right
size and have a very elegant look about them. I simply covered them with some
Tarnished brass Distress Stain and they came up all shiny and beautiful!

I also can't go past using a little heart every now and then. These "Heart Silhouette's"
are just the right amount of love with out being over the top. I painted this little
sweet one with black acrylic paint to help it stand out a little bit.

Lastly I've use one of the "Dreamcatchers" from the new range. I LOVE these little gems!
I will certainly be using more of them on future projects! To colour this one, first I
gave it a dry brush of black acrylic paint. Just the lightest touch. Then I dabbed it into
a white Stazon Ink Ink pad to give it a washy affect and finally I added some tarnished brass
 Distress Spray.

My final piece is a lovely tribute to two very kind, wacky and lovable ladies that
I have had the privilege of getting to know over the last 12 months, thanks to being
involved in scrapbooking. I have NO IDEA what is happening in this photo. I stole
it from Facebook but I just had to scrap it because I love it so much!

"These Crazy Chicks"

"Mini Fast Forward Arrows"
"6" Messy Square Frames"
"Skeleton Leaves"

Arrows would have to be one of my most favourite "go to" pieces
of chippy and the "Mini Fast Forward Arrows" are no exception.
Don't let their size fool you! They may be little but they make a massive
impact on a page!

I wasn't sure what to do with the "Skeleton Leaves" but after
playing around, I think I got it right !!

I'm having lots of fun with these "6" Messy Square frames" too.
I love how they frame your photos perfectly. I feel they really draw
the eye to the focus of the layout.

All of the 2Crafty Chipboard pieces on this creation were painted with black acrylic paint. I really wanted then to stand out against the two contrasting colours and the fresh white background.

So that's me for another month.
I will see you all again in June.

Cheers
Fiona xx
