July Inspiration
By Di Garling

Hi there friends, thanks for calling by.
Today I have a layout to share with you that I did recently,
for "Scraps of Darkness" Kit Club.
Naturally it has lots of gorgeous
2Crafty Chipboard on it.

First up I used the mini "Dream" word from the
"ATC Mini Word Pack". This is a great pack
with lots of various words suitable for lots of uses.
This is simply painted with an acrylic paint.

Next up I used another beautiful 2 Crafty chippie piece,
the "Thistle Shrub".  Firstly I applied Gesso, followed
by a couple of coats of some turquoise mist which I
applied with a brush. This method seems to get a more
intense colour & without any  wastage of over spray.

I have cut the "Thistle Shrub" in two pieces & placed some in both my
flower clusters on either side of my photo.

The next chippies piece I have used here is the "Parisian Border".
I am so happy with the finished I was able to achieve on this.

First a coat of Gesso, next a coat of Texture Paste to create
so nice texture, followed by a coat of bronze/copper metallic paint
& then I finished off with some more turquoise mist brushed
on to create a bit of a patina look.

Well thats all for today, I will be back again tomorrow
with another layout to share with you.
