Janice Nicholls - My May Shares

Hello Everyone!!
Welcome to the 2Crafty blog.
Today it is my turn to share two  layouts both featuring the Gorgeous 2Crafty Chipboard

My 1st share is all about the most amazing and unforgettable holiday we had last year.

 {Unforgettable}

  The 2Crafty chipboard pieces I used on this layout are;
Palm Trees
Small Palm Trees
2013
 Unforgettable-title

 I created a little cluster at the bottom of the palm trees and added the 2013 date to it.
2013 was simply inked with Pinecone ink.

 Unforgettable is the perfect title for my page....again I just coloured it using
 Pinecone ink and stitched it onto my page with thread.

 Each Palm Tree was given a light coat of gesso, then a light smear of Texture paste.
Once it was dry I coloured the stems with Pinecone Ink and rubbed them back using an emery board, to  resemble the bark.
The leaves were coloured using different shades of green inks and the biggest and smallest Palm Tree leaves were outlined with a green marker.  Then I layered them together using pop dots to add some dimension and created a little cluster at the bottom.
My 2nd share today is a layout I created  for a Challenge
 about scrapping that "Imperfect photo".

 {Treasure Forever}

When we scrap we tend to always look for that perfect photo but what about that
 "Imperfect Photo". The one that is slightly blurry, has the wrong light, or is out of focus.
 We all have them and cannot bring ourselves to delete or scrap them.
 The picture does not have to be perfect to have special meaning, it may be the
only one you have.
The challenge was to scrap that "Imperfect Photo" and capture a memory for the future.
This is what I created...a 3 generation photo, slightly blurry, out of focus
but I love it and it has such a special meaning.

The 2Crafty Chipboard I have used on this layout are;
Flourish Adornment
Fern
Fanciful Butterflies
Funky Heart

All these pieces were coated with a thick layer of White Distress Crackle paint
 and once dry sprayed with Glimmermist.

Friendship Mini Words- Treasure, Forever
These word were used to create my title and were coloured with silver ink

The Fanciful Butterfly and Flourish Adornment were coated with Distress Crackle Paint
and sprayed with Glimmermist, then added to a flower cluster.

 Fanciful Butterfly

 A Funky Heart
surrounded by lots of beautiful flowers.

This  Fern  was part of the cluster and helped frame the photo.

Thanks for stopping by the blog today.
I will be back  in June with 3 more projects to  share.
