Chantal Vandenberg's projects for August! :)

Hi everyone!

This month the 2 Crafty team is guest designing for CSI.  How cool is that?!

So that means every Friday this month you can visit the CSI site to see some
 wonderful inspiration from the 2 Crafty DT

This layout is called "Pinata Fun" and has been created for CSI Case File #85...

Let me just say that making the actual Nemo piñata was super fun and smashing it
 was even more super  duper fun and scrapping this layout about it was the best fun!  Lol! :D

I have used the following 2Crafty chipboard products on my layout;

1. "Today" loopy font title - coloured black with a paint pen.
2. Polaroid Frames - painted with cream acrylic paint and journalled on, doodled on,
 wrapped up with twine and embellished on!
3. Chevron Bits - treated the same as "today" and butting up next to same.
4. Weather Bits sun - painted with gesso and coloured with watercolour paints.
5. Shrub Set - painted with teal acrylic paint (bottom left corner)
6. Flag Banner - strung up with some tags using baker's twine and hanging out (literally) with the sun.
7. Mini Tags - these cutie patooties are loving their new colours!
8. Tags - One of these has been painted with cream acrylic paint and adhered to the top right corner of my layout.  I've trimmed off the overhang and adhered some stickers and embellishments onto it too.
9. Circular Panel - This nifty number has been used as a mask and a stamp.  I've masked with it using Dylusions spray ink and stamped with it using acrylic paint.  To see his final resting place, you can check him out on my next project!

I just realised how many 2Crafty products were used for this layout... that has to be some sort of record for me I think!! :D

I have used the following items to crack this case;
- Labels
- Tags
 - Frame
 - Decorative border
 - Write journalling on a tag
 - Hand-write journalling in cursive,
- plus I've used the fabulous colour combination - boy, did I love using these colours!!

My next project is a card.  Surprised?  Well I've been sharing my cards more and more now on my blog  recently and I've made a little "rule" where I create one card after I've completed one layout.  That way I'm using up whatever co-ordinating products that didn't get used in my layout before it all gets put away - as I clean up after every "session". :)

So this is a quite a masculine card and I've used my scraps from my last layout, along with some other products to suit where needed.

I've used the following 2Crafty chipboard products for my "Man Card";

1. Circular Panel - after being misted as a mask and used as a stamp in paint for my Piñata layout,  I loved the way it looked and it looks cool as a backdrop here.
2. Flag Banner - I had painted some extras for my layout and it was two easy to replicate the look that I had in my layout, strung up with baker's twine along with two...
3. Mini Tags!
4. Viewfinder Reel - I am loving these li'l rippers!  Here I've painted a reel using cream acrylic paint.

My final project is a layout, entitled
 "So Proud of You"...

I've based this layout on a recent sketch at "My Creative Sketches".

I've used the following 2Crafty chipboard items on here;

1. Mini Rulers - I have cut two rulers in half and stapled them on the top right and bottom left of my layout.  They have been painted pink and I've used black gel pen to go over the details so they stand out much more.

2. Funky Hearts - I've got two of these lovelies on my layout, with the larger one on the bottom left of the large focal photo, topped with a fussy-cut flower from the MME paper collection I was working with.  The hearts have been painted with pink acrylic paint (Kaisercraft - Candy Pink) and I've outlined the inside edges with a black Uniball Signo Gel Impact pen.

3. Hearts- I've used three of these more traditional-looking hearts here and they've been treated in the same way as the aforementioned Funky Hearts.

4. Postage Stamp Frame - I have used one of the medium-sized nested frames from this set and used it as a mask slightly off-centre on my layout.  I've sprayed three colours of Dylusions Ink Spray over my page and I've then doodled around this masked image for extra definition.  I have then cut off one side of the frame and used this (mist splatters and all) vertically alongside the left of the focal photograph.

5. Number Vertical - This is the perfect border for my school themed layout and the piece that really pulls everything together - a lovely focal point.  I've layered this piece on top of ribbons and the above mentioned Postage Stamp Frame length.

You may of noticed I've used flowers on this page (as I'm not a massive flower person)...
well in this case, I was so BLOOMIN' proud!!! ;D

Well, that's all for me for August, thanks so very much for looking! :D
Cheers,
Chantal :)
