Chantal's 2Crafty Creations for May! :)

Hello everyone!  I'm so thrilled to be continuing on for a new
term on this fabulous team!  Yay!

I'm really excited to share my latest creations using 2Crafty's awesome
chipboard designs.  So, let's get started, shall we?

First up is a snowy layout called
"Having Snow Much Fun"...

This is my daughter Heidi's first experience with "snow" so I had to scrap it!
If you are wondering, I've put inverted commas around the word
snow - well it's because it's at the Snow Dome - an indoor ice & snow arena. :)

I have used the following 2Crafty chipboard products on my layout;

All snowflakes have been first adhered to cardstock and painted with gesso.
Before becoming completely dry (tacky), I have laid vintage book paper
over the top of the entire sheet of cardstock and placed it under a heavy
weight.  Once dried, I've then peeled off the bookpaper to leave a text
 imprint over the gessoed sections
(which were over and around each snowflake).

2.  Photo Slides -
I've used the same technique as above for all six frames,
adding felt and FWAB in the centres.

The loopy loop border has been used predominately on the left side of
the layout.  It's been left raw and I've doodled around the edges with a black gel pen.

4. Summertime
These gorgeous little words have been left raw and outlined twice with a
black gel pen.  This layout shows that some of the words can be used in all
sorts of projects, not just for Summer time!

The next project I'd like to share is a canvas that I
created for my daughter's bedroom...

I call it "Puppy Love". :)  I really enjoy working with canvases.
They are super fun!  I've been inspired by the colours in my daughter's
room and it now hangs proudly on the wall and it looks lovely
(if I do say so myself!).  And she loves it!

So for my canvas, I have incorporated the following 2Crafty products;

This pack contains four intricate corners and I've adhered one onto each corner
of the canvas, painting them to match the background - adding a delicate texture.

This has been painted with a mixture of pink and white acrylic paint,
giving a nice tonal effect.  I've adhered the frame sideways
for a different, wider look.

3. Birdcage 4
This cute set comes with bird and cage.  I have painted the cage with black
acrylic paint, and once dry, I've highlighted sections with a white gel pen
to give a shiny illusion.  I cut to size some coordinating patterned paper and
adhered it to the back of the cage.  The bird has been painted with gesso,
followed by a couple of coats of gold liquid ink.  The addition of FWAB pearls,
a zipper and ribbon with bow add to the charm of this cute set. :)

Lastly I have a layout that I created recently using a sketch
 over at "My Creative Sketches"...

My layout is called "This is the Life" and I've used the following
 "beachy" 2Crafty chipboard products;

1. Wavy Borders -
covered in gesso and dry brushed with blue heavy medium acrylic paint.
Topped off with FWAB.

2. Weather Bits -
two clouds inked in Tim Holtz Tea Stain Distress Ink.

3. Seashells -
two seashells lightly inked using the above mentioned distress ink,
stacked on top of one another and topped off with a glass bottle
 filled with beach sand.

4. Seagulls -
three gulls lightly painted with texture paste, adhered amongst
 twine loops for extra movement.

I just adore "beachy" creations! :)

My photo has a 3D effect.  I have simply printed the same photo out twice,
fussy cut the main subjects, popped them onto foam squares and then adhered
them directly over the top of the original photograph.  It really looks fun! :)

I hope I have provided some inspiration on using 2Crafty chipboard!
Thank you so very much for stopping by!

Have a great day!

Cheers,
Chantal :D
