Having fun with 2Crafty - Kelly

Good morning, friends!!! Kelly here, and I am back again to share some projects I have been creating using some great 2Crafty chipboard..I have had SO much fun thinking up new ways to dress up these pieces, and I can't wait to share with you! I will be sharing two layouts, just like last month, one of them super feminine and soft, the other more artsy and fun..

I really hope you found some inspiration over the last month, with all of the GORGEOUS creations from our new team!! I hope you will continue to pop in and check things out...be sure to "follow" this blog, and also our Facebook page so you don't miss a thing!
Ok, let's get right to it!

I have two projects to share, first up is this one, simply titled "Love" using the beautiful Love Flourish for my title...details on how I created this title below, but first, here is my layout, featuring my two beautiful girlies..

Ok first, title close up...as mentioned above, the Love Flourish, which I have painted with two different colors of acrylic paint, the darker pink to highlight the letters to make the title pop out.I added a circle of patterned paper behind the sentiment to make it stand out. I then dressed the ends up with mini roses and pearls, centered with a larger flower..ultra feminine, eh?
Next, I layered that on top of this pretty frame, (Frame Celia's Flourish), which I painted yellow with some gouache paint, then coated with a glaze medium to make it shiny. The circles of the two frames were the same size, so they fit right on top of  each other nicely.

I love how the title frame layered on top of the flourish frame ground my photos so nicely!

Ok, next, some clusters...I added to this one a favorite of mine, one of the Funky Hearts, which I used the same paint/gems on as I did the title piece. Then I tucked in a section of Heidi's Vines, and added flowers and pearls to the ends..

Here is another section of Heidi's Vines in my other cluster to match...

Ok, so I got the feminine, shabby, pretty layout out of the way, time to play with my artsy grungy side!! This layout just might be my favorite layout of all time!! While it might look a bit minimalist, it is loaded down with lots of bits and pieces of 2Crafty Chipboard...have a look:

Close up of this flourish, which is actually a corner piece (Corner Rosie's) which I cut apart, sprayed with Glimmer Mist in a few different colors, touched up with black paint and white gesso.. also, you see that circle piece under the button? That was a leftover piece from a project from last month, it was a circle punched out from the Crazy Circles sheet..(I never throw anything away...you never know!) I used a few of these on this layout, and I dressed them up with mist, crackle paint, and washi tape! Washi tape + chipboard = tons of fun!!

So, I also wanted to show off the Frame Bracket Borders which come in a multi pack, and are a gift that keeps on giving! There are tons of them!! This one I painted red, then coated in clear crackle paint. Then I wound some baker's twine around it to add a bit of texture.
To ground my title, I used one of Sybill's Name Plates, dressed up in the same way as the flourish above, then added my letter stickers.

Ok, so here is one of my favorite little details, just makes me smile..I used one of the Family Symbols, painted her a red dress, added a strip of washi tape for the skirt, and a bow of baker's twine..isn't she adorable? She would also be perfect on a card!!

Well folks, that's all from me!! Thanks for hanging in there through my long post!! Have a wonderful day!! If you would like to see more of my work, or have any questions, I would absolutely love it if you would visit my blog, and become a follower there, too!! Thanks so much for stopping by!
