Vicky's First Reveal Post

Vicky blogging today and I am excited to share my 2 favorite yet simple chipboard finishes -- crackle paint and chalk inks. First up is a picture of my daughter on her first birthday. The beautiful papers are from Meg's Garden and the amazing chipboard is 2Crafty (of course!). I actually cut one of their corner vines and tucked a piece in the upper left corner.

Here is a close-up of the peek-a-boo lace and the stunning chipboard title. I used white distress crackle paint and then smudged light yellow and brown chalk inks to give the cracks and edges some definition.

I primed the corner vines leaves chipboard with gesso and used a few shades of green and brown inks to polish it off. It really makes the delicate white blooms stand out don't you think? Chipboard is so easy to ship to make it fit for your project.

This is a baby picture of my daughter that I've been waiting for the perfect papers to scrap it. I used some 2Crafty chipboard and a heart doily from my stash on this but the rest is all from my August Swirlydoos kit.

Here is a close-up of the beautiful baroque corner (there are 2 in a set) that I used white distress crackle paint on it to contrast against the darker  paper.

Here is a close-up of the captured moments title that I also crackle painted and raised with Helmar Zapdots to create a shadow and dimension too. I cut off the last letter "S" to read "moment" rather than plural "moments" to better suit my layout.

Lastly for today, here is yet another baby picture of my daughter but this time with Grandpa (my dad).

Here is a close-up of the title chipboard primed with gesso and inked with 3 shades of pink chalk ink.

Here is a close up of the Ariel's spray also primed with gesso and inked with 3 shades of green chalk inks.
