My First 2Crafty Share - Linda Eggleton

Hello there everyone ....thanks so much for dropping by today :)

Today is the first reveal of the new design team....and lucky me gets to go first!!! YAY.
I'm so excited to be part of this fabulous team, and I think we are all going to be in for a real treat with what these amazing girls do with their chipboard & the fabulous layouts they create, so make sure you "follow" over there on the side bar >>>>> and/or on Facebook, so that you don't miss out on anything!

I have a few layouts to share with you all today....showing a variety of techniques that can be applied to your 2Crafty chipboard, and the amazing transformations that can be achieved. So, grab a cuppa (or something stronger if you prefer...hehe) & sit back enjoy :)

So lets get started.....

"It's a Girl Thing" - For this layout I've used a few different pieces of 2Crafty chipboard......the main piece being the gorgeous "Floral Spray", that is at the bottom of my photo. The other piece is the cute little "Birdcage", above my cluster....and lastly a small "Flourish" near the top of my layout....these are great for adding that little something extra to a cluster or just a spot somewhere on your layout that needs that extra little touch added to it.

For the Floral Spray, I wanted to add as much texture as I could, so I simply mixed some texture paste in with my white paint, then dabbed it on with my brush to help get more texture, rather than brushing it on. I then roughly inked in a brown ink to help add more definition & to highlight the texture in spots.

For the Birdcage....I simply painted in white paint & roughly inked over the birdcage.

The small Flourish has the same treatment as the Floral Spray above....dabbed with paint/texture paste then roughly inked to highlight the textures.

OK, onto the next layout.....

"Welcomed Solitude" - Featuring the super gorgeous
"5" Floral Frame" and 2 of the beautiful "Flying Birds".

For both of these pieces I have applied some Tim Holtz Distress Crackle Paint - Antique Linen. Then I've lightly inked in a few places & also dabbed some Gesso here and there with my finger.

Here is a bit more of a close up where you can see the crackle effect.

And the same crackle paint with the birds...with some pearls added for their eyes.

I really love the effect that the crackle paint gives on the 2crafty chippies!...and just a little tip, the more crackle paint you put on, the more noticable your cracks will be! :)

Next is a layout that some of you may have already seen around the traps.
It is my entry for the July Once Upon a Sketch....

"He's My Best Friend" - featuring a stunning corner flourish - "Corner Elegant Set"
and some more of the little "Flourish's" from the first layout above.

Again, I wanted to add some texture to my chipboard pieces, so I experimented a little & added some sand (yep, real sand) in with some Gesso...and again, just dabbed it on with a brush. Then I've lightly inked in a brown ink & added a few pearls for a bit more interest & for a touch of bling!

The small flourishes at the top & bottom of my layout received
the same treatment with the sand & Gesso :)

OK, are you all still with me? lol

One last layout to share.....This layout was created for Creative Scrappers - Sketch #217
(Yep, you've probably figured by now that I'm a bit of a sketch junkie!!)

"Hells Gate" - Featuring 2 pieces cut from 12" Iron Fence, and placed either side of my photo, and one of the gorgeous keys from the Vintage Keys multi pack.

Both pieces have had my experimental sand treatment again....but this time I added a bit more sand in with my grey paint. Then I've randomly inked in black ink & dabbed some Gesso on with my finger here and there.

Here with the Vintage Key you can see a bit more detail of the effect this gives with adding the sand in your paint, then randomly inking & smudging some Gesso :)

OK, folks, that's it from me....I hope you have enjoyed seeing my creations & have been inspired to get scrapping with some 2Crafty chipboard! I have lots more projects using 2Crafty Chipboard on my blog, so if you would like to see more, then please come and visit my blog HERE...I would love to have you drop by :)

Until next time....Happy scrapping! :)
Linda...xx
