My First 2 Crafty Post - Kelly Foster

Hello there!!! I am SO excited to be here, part of this fabulous team, playing with some amazing 2 Crafty chipboard!!! I'm sure by now you have heard about our new team...there are so many talented ladies who will be loading this place up with inspiring ideas on how to use your 2 Crafty chipboard!
Be sure to follow this blog, and check us out on Facebook as well. To get there, take a look at the right hand sidebar. You will also find all of the new (and returning) Design Team members, and you can check out their personal blogs, as well!!
Well, let me get right to it!! I have a few layouts to share today...
First up:
I loaded this one up with 2 Crafty...

Close up of the Graceful Butterfly, which I first misted pink, then added some liquid pearls for a shiny feminine look..here you can also see the flourish I used,  Corner Annalise, which I simply painted with acrylic paint then brushed lightly with gesso, and added more liquid pearls to the ends, then tucked into my main flower cluster to pull the eye toward the photo..

Close up of the Captured Moments title, which I misted with a gold mist, then added dabs of gesso. I really love the chipboard titles in the store, so very versatile!

The next two  photos show the Doilies...which like the butterfly, I simply misted with glimmer mist, and added some liquid pearls and painted it around with my fingertip until I liked the effect.

OK, on to the next one..this one is a bit less pretty, and a bit more "messy" as I call it...

OK first off, do you see the subtle circle pattern in the background? Yep..you guessed it! That is a piece of 2 Crafty chipboard (Crazy Circles)..It is a 12x12 sheet so what I did was adhere it to my paper, and slathered the whole thing with a thick layer of gesso, completely covering the chippie. So, when it dried, i had a nicely textured, raised circular patterned backdrop for my page. I then doodled with a black pen around some of the circles, did some masking, misting, and painting until I liked the effect. I also used them as places to do some random journaling around.

Close up of a Maggie's Swirl flourish piece, I simply dabbed with a shiny black paint.

Here you can see a piece of the Frame Scallop Circle Borders, and Gigi's Flowers.

One of the little Funky Hearts, painted black again and dabbed with some texture paste, tucked into my cluster..
.

Close up where you can see the background a little better, and another Frame Scallop Circle Borders...from the same pack, this one is a fave for me, the pack has a ton of circles..they go on and on :) so many uses for circles..

Well folks, that's all from me!! Thanks for bearing with me through this loooong post!!! I would absolutely love it if you would like to check out my personal blog, where you will find more inspiration from recent projects using 2 Crafty chipboard, such as this...
